At NaraTika Community Learning Center (CLC), we believe in the power of education, sustainability, and community-driven development. Established by Volunteers Initiative Nepal (ViN) after years of dedication and planning, NaraTika CLC is more than just a building—it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity for rural Nepalese communities.
Located in Nishankhe, Okhaldhunga, the NaraTika Community Learning Center was envisioned as a response to the 2015 Nepal earthquake, which left 80% of homes and 65% of schools damaged in the region. Recognizing the urgent need for education, skill-building, and disaster resilience, NaraTika CLC serves as a learning hub, community support center, and innovation space for the people of Taluwa, Thulachhap, Bhadaure, Moli, Naransthan, and beyond.
Through education, training, and empowerment, the NaraTika Community Learning Center bridges the gap between opportunity and access, helping rural communities gain essential skills, improve their livelihoods, and build a brighter future.

Okhaldhunga

Okhaldhunga is a remote rural district in the Everest region. The NaraTika CLC serves the whole region.

This video shows the landscapes of Okhaldhunga, its beauty and its challenges to deliver services for rural communities. This video is filmed with sequences of drone images by one of our past volunteers, Quentin Mocotte. We encourage our volunteers to compile their images and video footage of their volunteering activities and make short video. We are slowly introducing geography and culture of Okhaldhunga to the outside world.
